Women's movements in Iran Now- The past and the Present

This presentation will review the women's movements in Iran since the Islamic revolution and evaluate what has changed in the ear of Information  and communication Technologies. The emphasis will be on the diversity of women's movements in Iran and how each strand has tackled the power structure in Iran.

Elham Gheytanchi is an Iranian-American sociologist. She did her undergrad and graduate studies at UCLA. She has published on Iranian women's movement and ICTs in Iran. Her articles have appeared in academic as well as mainstream media outlets.
